Sourcing & fit

How Superposition finds candidates and evaluates their fit for a role.

Sourcing brings candidates into a role; FitCheck tells you how well each one matches. Together they turn an open role into a ranked shortlist.

Where candidates come from

Candidates enter a role two ways:

  • Outbound (sourced): Superposition finds matching candidates for the role and builds an enriched profile for each (work history, skills, and contact details where available). It searches well beyond LinkedIn, reading the wider web (personal sites, open-source work, and writing) to surface strong people who never polished a profile. You can also import candidates manually.
  • Inbound (applicants): people who apply to a public role posting.

You don't write boolean search strings. Refine the role's requirements and the agent adjusts what it surfaces.

FitCheck

Every candidate is evaluated by FitCheck, an AI assessment against the role's requirements. It produces:

  • a fit score,
  • a fit level (Bullseye, Fit, or Wildcard), and
  • structured reasoning mapped to each requirement.

Bullseye is the closest match, Fit is a strong match, and Wildcard is an edge case that's still worth a look. Candidates that don't meet the bar aren't surfaced for outreach.

Reviewing candidates

  • Sort the candidate list by fit to work the strongest matches first.
  • Open a candidate to read the evidence behind the assessment.
  • Advance the ones you like; pass on the rest.

How candidates move from here depends on your role's outreach mode: Review First (you approve first) or Full Auto (eligible candidates enroll automatically).

FitCheck is decision support, not a decision. Always review the reasoning before reaching out.
