Core concepts
A quick vocabulary you'll see throughout the docs:
- Role: a job you're hiring for. Superposition uses the role's requirements to source and evaluate candidates. (You'll also see this called a job.)
- Candidate: a person being considered for a role, sourced outbound or applying inbound.
- FitCheck: Superposition's AI evaluation of how well a candidate matches a role. It produces a fit score and a decision, with the reasoning behind it.
- Fit levels: eligible candidates are tiered Bullseye (best match), Fit (strong), and Wildcard (an edge case worth a look).
- Pipeline: the stages a candidate moves through: Sourced → Eligible → Interviewing → Hired / Rejected, plus any custom interview stages you add.
- Campaign: an outreach sequence for a role: Headhunting (outbound to sourced candidates) or Inbound scheduling (interview requests for applicants).
- Review First / Full Auto: whether a human approves outbound candidates before the first email, or eligible candidates enroll automatically.
- Recruiting agent: the AI that evaluates candidates, drafts outreach, watches replies, and acts across email and Slack.
- Insights: preferences and patterns the agent learns from your hiring over time.
